A new technology paradigm is emerging in ORAN cellular networks architecture, intelligent core, and smart edge. Parallel Wireless, an Open RAN leader, is taking wireless networks to the next level by developing and implementing AI/ML models.

You will play a key role in data science research team developing AI/ML models, apply latest machine learning, deep learning, and predictive algorithms to train, tune hyperparameters developing smart control agents. Identify new use cases, patterns, train models that operates under different scenarios, near real-time, or standard mode. You demonstrate performing tasks independently; support large-scale data science initiatives in our global teams partnering with experts; stay current with latest research and technology; communicate complex concepts with the stakeholders from different disciplines. Demonstrate ability to work independently and perform duties as requested by the team.

What you must have:

• Five years of relevant industry experience as data scientist on deep learning, including two years hands-on experience developing ML GAN and transformer models.
• Solid experience in Tensorflow, Keras, scikit-learn in Python, C/C++, or similarly structured languages under Linux environment
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, time-management, communication, and organizational skills
• A good storyteller demonstrating abilities to present, communicate ideas and findings
• Have expertise in one or more areas, deep neural networks, Bayesian, supervised and unsupervised learning techniques used for clustering, classification, regression
• Understanding of data structures, data modeling and software architecture
• Ability to work on teams, manage multiple priorities, quickly learn new software programs/interfaces, and troubleshoot minor technical problems
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Be eligible to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or work permit/visa holder)

Education:

• Master’s or PhD degree in computer science, or similar technical field (e.g., data science, statistics, engineering)
