The Role

We are looking for an experienced analytics leader to join our Marketing team. The Director of Marketing Analytics will be responsible for driving business growth by providing analytical insights to fuel innovative acquisition and retention marketing programs. The ideal candidate has experience in direct-to- consumer businesses with a sophisticated marketing engine utilizing both online and offline channels to acquire customers. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is seeking to grow in a challenging environment, work on a fast-paced, exciting team and develop data driven decisions. This individual will report to the Vice President of Growth Analytics, have visibility to the executive team and will be a key influencer driving the growth at Prosper.

Problems You Will Solve

  • Identify and build new growth strategies and influence key decisions through robust analysis, modeling and providing actionable insights
  • Scale and optimize outbound marketing programs including Direct Mail
  • Provide data & insights for the creation of annual marketing budget and optimize spend within and across multiple channels including affiliates, SEM/SEO, display, social media, Prosper's website, direct mail, email and more
  • Improve customer and channel attribution capabilities to drive better understanding of marketing spend ROI both within and across channels
  • Develop customer segmentation that allows for better cross-sell, up-sell outcomes
  • Champion and advance test & learn mindset in marketing by creating optimal test designs and rigor in performance readouts.
  • Establish dashboards and automated reports with KPIs to support data-driven business decisions
  • Present and share analysis and recommendations to stakeholders including marketing leads, business leads, and C-level audience.
  • Manage and mentor analysts, provide technical governance and oversight, and influence how we leverage data and modeling to drive our business to the next level

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative (STEM) field. Masters highly preferred
  • 7+ years of analytics experience in financial services or fintech companies preferred
  • Strong understanding of lending business and business understanding of hypothesis testing and design of experiments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to present complex data analysis, insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • SQL, SAS and R experience desired along with advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Clear results orientation: display an intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals. They should be able to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment
  • Successful track record of thriving in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and dynamic environment
  • Previous consulting experience is a plus
