Quantumscape is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support Research and Development operations. Our ideal team member is self-motivated, a problem solver and can work optimally in teams or independently.
You will work closely with our team to ensure system up-time and availability for our fast paced R&D environment.
Your responsibilities will include :
Maintaining and repairing various lab equipment and facilities systems, including glove boxes, vacuum chamber systems and high temperature ovens.
Working collaboratively with Scientists and Process Technicians to support their critical development activities.
Building electromechanical prototypes and systems using schematics and assembly drawings.
Minimum Requirements :
Associate degree in electronic technology or equivalent
a minimum of 7 years’ experience in equipment maintenance and operation.
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills on electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
You are autonomous, personable, positive, willing to learn and a good great teammate.
You like a good technical challenge.
Solving problems makes you happy and you like to spend time honing those skills by working on various types of equipment.
You are good at log/record keeping.
You are willing and able to work overtime on short notice.
Experience in any of the following are a plus :
Glove box maintenance
High vacuum evaporation systems
Facility systems maintenance (CDA, PCW, Gas delivery, etc)
We currently have night shift CWW- Wednesday-Friday/Saturday - 6:30pm-6:30am
