In this role:
•You will be responsible for the design, prototype, build, test, and manufacture of proprietary equipment and ensuring equipment quality assurance during all phases of the development and implementation.
•Your responsibilities include:
•Partnering with process and design team members to determine the specifications of the equipment. This includes identification of needs, design (concept to detail), prototyping, manufacturing, install, and testing.
•Leveraging your previous experience to optimize proof of concept and automation systems and design to support the needs of Equipment Development and high-volume manufacturing lines.
•Leading & project managing build and testing of new designs and equipment, including daily activities, scheduling, reporting, and budgeting and collaborating with equipment development partners and suppliers.
Experience:
•BS or higher degree in mechanical engineering
•2-5 years' experience with equipment design, automation, and integration from R&D to manufacturing.
•Experience with Solidworks, AutoDesk Vault PDM or equivalent PDM/PLM systems
•Experience with supplier management and collaborating with remote engineering teams.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
· Advanced knowledge with Inventor, SoildWorks, or equivalent 3D CAD systems and in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
· Ability to work well individually and in a team driven environment
· Excellent hands-on troubleshooting of mechanical and automated systems
•Excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude
•5-10% travel required.
