We’re on a mission to electrify cars by building the next generation of energy storage technology! Do you want to make a major contribution to this critical part of the future energy economy? As a member of the metrology team, you will help us develop metrology tools to collect high velocity data predictive of battery performance. Come join us in a role that sits at the intersection of materials, manufacturing, machine vision, and data science!
What you will do:
Develop, build, and own metrology tools that characterize critical components of our batteries.
Design and carry out experiments to optimize imaging systems, enabling high- performance, automated defect detection.
Plan and execute studies to characterize and monitor imaging systems.
Minimum requirements:
Education & Experience
M.S. in materials science, EE, optics, chemical engineering, applied physics, or a related field; or B.S. and 2+ years experience.
Hands-on experience developing measurement, imaging, or characterization systems.
Previous experience with machine vision software (camera control, image processing) and/or hardware (optical, acoustic, or thermal sensors).
Familiarity with measurement systems analysis, statistical process control, and design of experiments.
Scientific programming experience in python.
