We are expanding our team with the addition of a proactive, forward-thinking individual that can apply an unconventional approach to managing and growing our patent portfolio.

What You'll Do:

- Work collaboratively with the engineering team to evaluate patentability of inventions

- Provide detailed guidance to outside counsel for the preparation of response to office actions

- Perform on a wide range of projects/issues including portfolio management, freedom-to-operate, competitor and landscape analysis, due diligence, and licensing work

- Conduct inventor interviews and intellectual property training with focus on patent and trade secret protection

You will report to the Director of Intellectual Property and join a dynamic and growing legal team

**Education & Experience: **

We are looking for a strong patent professional to properly secure the groundbreaking inventions developed by our R &D team

At a minimum, you will have a Master’s degree in a scientific discipline (a Ph.D. is a plus), be registered to practice with the USPTO, and at least 2 years of combined law firm experience and/or in-house experience.

You are energetic, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can easily handle multiple and shifting priorities.

You work independently to produce a high-quality work product that shows good judgment and attention to detail.

You are highly collaborative and resourceful in finding the information you need, and comfortable when facing uncertainty or ambiguity.
