We are developing batteries that will power the next generation of transportation. Do you want to learn about and work on a critical part of the future energy economy? As part of our Advanced Research team, you will scout the frontier of our technology to seek high-risk, high-reward projects. You will work with the CTO plus a small team to prototype new sophisticated fabrication methods, equipment, and production processes to integrate our technology on the road to a highly scaled GigaBattery Factory.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Polymer Science
Minimum 5 years' experience with flexible webs or polymers, preferentially in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge in some or all the following flexible web converting fields: flexographic, rotogravure, and /or lithographic printing; adhesive and /or extrusion lamination, /or labeling
Experience working in a lab
Experience transitioning from a lab to production environment
PREFERRED
MS in an Engineering Field
Familiarity with data processing and/or statistics at the undergraduate level
Practical and/or theoretical understanding of winding of flexible materials
Background in quality management systems
Strong organizational skills
Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Experience in materials characterization techniques (XRD, SEM, and the like)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft applications
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and measure prototypes in a laboratory by working hands-on
Perform preliminary data analysis and prepare reports for colleagues
Support battery scaling projects with technical expertise relating to flexible web converting and end use applications
Provide hands-on support to identify, develop and implement quality processes and system improvements to increase output yields
Management of projects as assigned
Audit and measure product performance against standards or process requirements as defined
Advise, execute, and monitor preventative and corrective actions to ensure that quality standards are attained
