QuantumScape is seeking an energetic, knowledgeable, and collaborative IT professional with experience in maintaining secure and robust information infrastructure in a fast-paced environment. Our team is responsible for supporting critical systems throughout our lab and corporate spaces. We play a meaningful role in enabling groundbreaking research and development by providing the latest technology and services.

You are an expert IT systems administrator who embraces new technology and possesses good interpersonal skills. You excel in balancing the day-to-day activity of responding to IT support tickets with the desire to provide valuable insight and execution towards core infrastructure. As the newest member to our team, you will immediately play an integral role in key strategic projects such as building out a new manufacturing facility and migrating to the cloud.

Experiences:

At least 7 years of experience in information technology, 5 years or more in Microsoft technologies.

Administration of Windows Server operating system, including deployment, configuration, update and backup & restore.

Administration of common Windows Server features including but not limited to DNS, DHCP, DFS, NPS and failover clustering.

Systems administration of a Windows Active Directory including group policy management, and multi-site operations.

Administration of Microsoft Office365 or Google Workspace suite.

PC fleet management and mobile device management, including provisioning, configuration, update & reporting.

Administration of enterprise-grade SAN & NAS storage solutions.

Management of virtual and cloud infrastructure environments.

Strong diagnostic of computer hardware, software, network issues.

Experience in networking, monitoring, and security, e.g. TCP/IP, VLANS, DNS, DHCP, radius, wifi, and storage area networking.

Responsibilities:

Participate in IT infrastructure design & buildout of research, manufacturing or corporate office facilities.

Maintain and upgrade business-critical corporate IT infrastructure, on-prem and cloud-based.

Support IT infrastructure in all facilities with partner teams and vendors.

Identify business needs and rapidly deploy matching capabilities.

Project planning, scheduling, and implementation.

Document, validate & review architecture designs, stand procedures and best practices in IT operation.

Preferred:

You have a proven track record in IT with 10+ years industry growth experience.

You have advance knowledge of administration with IT infrastructure from configuring firewalls, VPNs, anti-virus/spam, Office 365 / Google Workspace, Intune/Jamf, Azure.

You have good understanding in identity & access management, including identify sync, single sign-on, and multi factor authentication, policy-based access control.

You have good understanding in and hands-on experience with enterprise PKI.

You have good understanding in and hands-on experience with configuration & update management.

You have deployed enterprise solutions across an organization which require high availability and scalability.

Scripting in PowerShell / Python with REST API is a plus.

Microsoft, VMware, Linux, network, and other certifications are a plus.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Comfortable working in complex and large-scale environments.

Desire to mentor younger team members and develop their skills.
