Come join us on our mission as we revolutionize energy storage to enable a sustainable future.
We’re on a mission to electrify cars by building the next generation of energy storage technology! Do you want to make a major contribution to this critical part of the future energy economy? As a member of the test and data analytics team, you will help us extract valuable metrics electrical data and identify ways to predict battery performance from early cycling data. Come join us in a role that sits at the intersection of materials, manufacturing, and data science!
What you will do:
Develop battery testing protocols to understand long term performance.
Analyze electrical metrics to predict performance and cycle life.
Build models to forecast device behavior.
Lead cross-departmental efforts in using electrical response data to inform device improvements.
Minimum requirements:
Education & Experience
Ph.D. in applied data science, applied physics, materials science, electrical engineering, chemistry, or a related field; M.Sc. and 3+ years professional experience; or B.S. and 4+ years experience. Preferably working in electrochemistry or battery materials.
Knowledge and examples of incorporating neural net and other machine learning algorithms to complex problems.
Scientific programming experience in Python, R, MATLAB, Julia, or JSL (JMP).
Experience working with querying large datasets in SQL or other database softwares.
Familiarity with measurement systems analysis, statistical process control, design of experiments, and predictive modeling.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
You have a curious, hands-on approach to self-motivated problem-solving.
You are a strong communicator and love working in a fast-paced, team environment.
Your time-management and organizational skills allow you to balance multiple high-impact projects.
