About the Role
Reporting into the Head of Business Intelligence, this role will partner
closely with product leaders, financial analysts, marketing, design, and
engineering teams to deliver actionable insights and act as a thought leader
for all product data at Rocket Lawyer. This role requires previous experience
with ecommerce subscription platforms, as you will be expected to analyze
engagement and retention metrics to inform product teams. The function will
play a critical role in go-to-market data strategy, ensuring measurement of
success metrics at launch.
Key Objectives
- Manage a small and growing product analytics team
- Own defining, tracking, and monitoring business KPIs
- Partner with product management leadership to create hypothesis, define kpis, design experiments, and act as go-to strategic thought partner
- Partner with leaders in engineering to improve data collection through data infrastructure design, data pipelining, and warehousing solutions
- Work closely with junior to senior level product analysts to conduct exploratory data analyses to discover patterns and insights to inform future strategy
- Ensure product teams are empowered to make data-driven decisions that make a positive impact on success metrics
Skills & Experience
- 5 - 7 years experience in quantitative role
- Experience with ecommerce subscription platforms, and familiarity with retention metrics
- 4+ year of analytics experience working directly with product managers or embedded within a product team
- Experience launching new products, A/B testing, and feature measurement
- 1+ year of Management experience
- Logical, analytical thinker with business acumen
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Significant expertise with Google Analytics
- Proficient in SQL, Python (or equivalent), and Github
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, etc)
- Experience with data warehousing, data pipelining, ETL solutions a plus
- Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering, finance, economics, or quantitative field
