About the Role
We are looking for a passionate full-stack software engineer who wants to work
in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a talented agile team, to be based
in London or Krakow. As part of a team consisting of a product manager,
designer, software engineers and quality engineers, the full-stack software
engineer is an active partner in the design, coding, unit testing, and release
of new features and enhancements for our growing customer base.
The Person
- You enjoy, and are great at, figuring out what the product should do—not just how the implementation should work
- Creative. You'll spend the majority of your time building robust frameworks, designing the right abstractions so everyone else can use the abstraction safely, and writing code in a way that anticipates its own bugs and fails, safely
- Ensure the scalability and reliability of the platform
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations, and vice versa
- Assist DevOps team with deployment issues and be ready to support your team’s services in production
- Practice extreme ownership
Experience
- 4+ years experience building web applications
- BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
- Experience designing and developing RESTful services/APIs
- Experience with standard Java 8 frameworks such as Spring and SpringBoot
- Practiced test-driven development utilizing unit testing frameworks and automated testing tools
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular2
- Experience developing responsive interfaces for web and mobile
- Knowledgeable in web application security (injection, XSS, CSRF, etc.)
- Strong experience with git
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Must be proactive, self-sufficient, thorough, organized, and a team player
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Kuberenetes, Docker and Chef
