About The Role
Rocket Lawyer is looking for a dynamic Sales Development Manager who will be responsible for leading and building a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) who identify and qualify sales opportunities across all target segments of our corporate Group Legal Plans business unit. Reporting to our Senior Manager, Sales Development, the role focuses on leadership, development and the achievement of sales goals. In this role, you will have two core priorities: Talent Development & Opportunity Development.
Talent Development: You will inherit a team of SDRs and will be responsible for hiring more outstanding talent into that team in conjunction with Sales leadership and Rocket Lawyer's annual hiring plans. Further, because we view our SDR team as the next generation of Account Executives and Customer Success Managers at Rocket Lawyer, you will dedicate your coaching experience to their professional development and work to continually improve your coaching skills.
Opportunity Development: As a Manager of Sales Development, you will be a key Sales Team asset as we look to continue the rapid growth of Rocket Lawyer's Enterprise Group Legal Services business unit. Your team will be a crucial part of uncovering new opportunities and driving revenue into our pipeline.
Attract, hire and retain high performing SDRs
Drive a creative, high performance, and high accountability culture primarily based on measurable performance metrics to achieve and exceed sales development goals
Provide strong coaching and mentoring through a deep understanding of sales, our business model, and our sales methodology. This includes coaching on how to:
build rapport over the phone and through email campaigns
best practices on how to reach a targeted audience (via phone, email and social)
outbound prospecting techniques
lead qualification, lead nurture, and high quality opportunity generation.
Support your team by participating in and shadowing prospect qualification and discovery calls
Develop and own Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the SDR team, supervise the activity of the team, track the results and improve team execution and metrics
Provide weekly team performance summaries as well as timely and accurate forecasting to senior sales management, using sales development KPIs
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leadership to establish new inbound lead management and pipeline production
Foster SDR operational excellence with the correct use of Rocket Lawyer’s sales technology assets and tools (SFDC, Outreach, LI Navigator, etc.).
