Roofstock is seeking an exceptional Director of Category Marketing to help us drive cross-functional frameworks that aim to unlock business opportunities through growth levers executions. This organization is the primary POC for Business Units stakeholders and will ensure that every cross-functional team is driving a cohesive and holistic view of growth with efficiency at its core. The ideal candidate has strong business acumen experience leading projects, programs, and frameworks end to end while keeping visibility and accountability with a sense of urgency. In this role, you will be both a leader and practitioner, leading and continuing to build your team while partnering closely with business, growth, marketing, and finance teams across the company. You and your team will deliver programs, leading indicators, and key results to finance, growth marketers, product, and business unit leaders.
The ideal candidate will be excited to dig into business needs, ask the right questions, and collect feedback across several organizations to drive end-to- end frameworks that guarantee momentum across each business line.
10+ years of experience working within business ops, strategy and planning, high-performance environments, and at least five years of team leadership.
Strong experience with modern analytics tools (e.g., Looker, Mixpanel)
Experience with translating business needs into experimentation roadmap through growth levers.
Exposure to sales forecast, retention curves, cost curves, and lifetime value models.
Broad of experience, likely including a variety of industries, business models, and analytical toolsTruly excellent problem-solving ability and business judgment
Strong partnership with analytics growth marketers to define GTM plans and experimentation roadmap.
Expertise and passion for experimentation and sound statistical inference
Entrepreneurial self-starter who takes absolute ownership and delivers high-quality, ambitious work, always looking to improve further
Ability to prioritize and align stakeholders around what matters most and drive programs end to end.
Ability to tell a persuasive story and convey information to executive audiences in a digestible format, visually and in writing
Enthusiastic, hands-on, positive leader who consistently and personally demonstrates the values of empathy, teamwork, and collaboration, with the proven ability to recruit, manage, and retain A+ players
An eagerness to work in a startup team environment that will be rapidly changing, comfort with navigating ambiguity.
