Roofstock is looking for a trailblazing Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Blockchain to work side-by-side our business, product and engineering leaders to lead our entry into tokenized real estate products, leveraging blockchain. Roofstock’s Blockchain Team is operating as a “startup within a startup” being recently was accepted into the Cypher Accelerator program at the Stevens Center for Innovation in Finance at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School to help accelerate its [real estate tokenization]( change-real-estate-and-why-roofstock-is-investing-in-it) initiative.We are looking for a Marketer has a passion for disruptive tech, innovation and bringing new solutions to customers in a simplified way. The ideal candidate is motivated by the opportunity to build something new from the ground up andcan work cross functionally and hands-on in an ambiguous environment and commercialize their ideas with significant impact. Reporting to Roofstock’sDirector of Product Marketing, this Marketer should consider themselves as already a member of the growing blockchain/crypto community and want to be part of this groundbreaking team that elevates Roofstock’s offerings for its customers.

What You Will Do:

  • Have a seat at the table among several Roofstock leaders as we shape our entry into tokenized real estate products using blockchain technology
  • Lead in-depth customer research to evaluate awareness, knowledge and attitudes toward tokenization and use of blockchain technology for real estate investors
  • Define, shape and refine target audiences based on business opportunity and associated personas for new product development
  • Lead product value proposition testing and creation, positioning and messaging strategies that resonate with those audiences; socializes them with cross-functional teams and ensuring relevant internal and external stakeholders have input and tests messaging strategies ahead of product launch to ensure success
  • Partner deeply with Business, Product, Engineering and Legal teams to define and prioritize the product and feature roadmap, design, UX and associated requirements
  • Craft a go-to-market strategy for this new business, building an integrated marketing plan that supports business goals with a key focus on the channels that are critical to our personas and audiences (E.g. Discord, Telegram, etc.). Repeat for future products launched that may include governance tokens, other SFR products, etc.
  • Build and lead media and press strategy as a part of the go-to-market strategy, elevating Roofstock within the blockchain arena and building credibility across both end-users and the rest of the market
  • Commercialize that go-to-market plan individually and with the support of other marketing/channel resources
  • Gather ongoing qualitative and quantitative user insights and identifies opportunities for continuous improvement to existing products and features
  • Report out regularly on product and strategy performance against customer satisfaction, acquisition and other business goals, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization

What You Bring With You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Technical field; MBA Preferred
  • 7+ years working in technology, consulting, marketing and/or strategy roles
  • 3+ years in roles bringing disruptive consumer products to market
  • Swiss army knife marketing and GTM skills – ability to balance tried and true tactics with innovative techniques
  • A strong understanding of the role of research plays in problem solving, tactical solutions, and creative execution
  • Ability to think big and market to a global audience
  • Willingness to be hands-on; owning both the strategy and execution
  • A baseline understanding of publications, influencers, media outlets and channels that are unique to this segment
  • A natural curiosity to test, measure, learn and iterate to get the best results possible
  • Strong communication, both oral and written; specifically comfortable in writing press releases, blog articles, bylines, etc.
  • Team player attitude with good follow through
