We are looking for an Associate Director, Product who will work with the Director of Product Management to achieve the product strategy and objectives, operating with a high-level of autonomy. As an Associate Director, Product you will lead 2-3 people, a scrum team, or a domain and be responsible for operationalizing product management responsibilities to ensure the flow of value, and managing product managers in product processes, agile workflows and methodologies.

You will partner with stakeholders to foster coordination and coherence in the execution of the work to deliver quality, secure, and valuable releases that improve the product according to the defined roadmap. You’ll promote and provide open lines of communication on ongoing progress while defining areas for improvement through the identification of blockers, gaps, pain points and training opportunities. In addition, you will evolve and document product operational processes and continuously update this information based on improvements that have been measured. Your contribution will be essential to the success of our product team members to achieve effective, efficient and empowered individuals.

What you will be doing:

  • Own the tactical product strategy to achieve the product vision and strategic themes set by the Strategy/Program Manager
  • Leverage and convert insights into action, and manages the work through to completion
  • Build a program roadmap and backlog that balances customer, scientific, technical, and business needs
  • Outline the long-term direction for the overall programManage delivery milestones
  • Analyze revenue streams, business objectives and customer needs
  • Partner closely with Program Managers, Bioinformaticians, and Scientific Engagement managers to shape the roadmap based on scientific opportunities to advance biotechnology and precision medicine in service to the product evolution.
  • Set and manage team expectations
  • Reduce dependencies through the encapsulation of features​
  • Coach and empower the teams level up to craft and own solutions.
  • Communicate and promote transparency to upstream and downstream stakeholders.
  • Objectives: Communicate progress by sprint with quarterly and annual summaries that delineate cost savings and delivery improvements; Partner with our agile coaches to lead the transformation from a project-based to product & platform-based working model.

Do you have what it takes?

  • 8-10 years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analyst, product design, and/or project/delivery management.
  • At least 3-5 years experience leading product development in a healthcare, B2B, and/or clinical data environment
  • Skilled in using prioritization frameworks
  • Undergraduate training (or equivalent work experience) in Life Sciences with a broad understanding of biotechnology and the way research and analysis is conducted across vast, often divergent datasets.
  • ​Experience in developing technology products that ingest, harmonize and present large health and/or clinical datasets
  • Fluency in English language

It would be great if you had:

  • Demonstrated experience developing/launching products/technologies within one or more of the following: Clinical; Genomics; -Omics; RWE/RWD; Epidemiology; Big Data Analysis/ Visualization/ Aggregation/ Interpretation; Semantics; Modeling
  • Cradle-to-grave experience developing, innovating, and reinventing technical products
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, [1-1, meetings, and podium style presentations]
  • Experience working across geographies and disciplines
  • Product management certification preferable.
