Seven Bridges ARIA will offer researchers a centralized solution for analyzing genomic and phenotypic data at scale across different cohorts through interactive visualizations and a portal that is optimized for users to collaborate across geographies. The outcome for our customers is to accelerate understanding and analysis that can facilitate their invention of novel treatments in the precision medical field.

The Product Designer for Seven Bridges ARIA is responsible for partnering across the organization to refine and establish user experience flows.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll collaborate closely with the principal product designers, customer insights and research partners, product managers and engineers to translate complex requirements into user flows and prototypes
  • You practice the iterative design process through the creation and testing of prototypes - all in varying degrees of fidelity
  • You are excited with the challenge of maintaining a modern design system.
  • You crave to understand the “Why?” behind your designs. You are not as concerned with whether or not a UI component should have a 2px border, as much as you are with proving that the component is valuable to the user in the first place.
  • You thrive on feedback. Knowing why something does not work is just as rewarding as getting the solution right.
  • You are someone who can dive right in and is excited to learn about Biotechnology. Our users are focused on solving extremely complex problems and it is our job to help them succeed.
  • You love the challenge of finding simplicity out of complexity. You have an understanding of best practices of data visualization and presentation and can help make sense of complex information.
  • Interview users in order to identify their needs and pain points
  • Informing and supporting research plans to identify what our customers seek.
  • Plan and lead usability testing in both the prototyping and deployment phases.
  • Identify and troubleshoot user pain points and UX problems
  • Follow the user-centric design process
  • Design low, mid, and high-fidelity prototypes that provide solutions for end-to-end user flows, information architecture, portal design.
  • Contribute to our design system of reusable UI components
  • Communicate and evangelize your design solutions to a wide variety of stakeholders, from individual contributors to team leaders.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure designs are properly implemented

Do you have what it takes?

  • Target level: Intermediate (Medior II)
  • 3 years professional experience with end-to-end digital product design (research, wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups and/or high fidelity prototypes)
  • Track record of innovating and delivering design experiences at scale
  • Demonstrated quality in design craft, process and thinking
  • Experience building and iterating on a product based on usage patterns, user feedback and an evolving strategic landscape
  • Strong storytelling, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-positioned and thoughtful documents and presentations
  • Ability to speak the language of business and design simultaneously and to mixed audiences
  • A genuine eagerness to work with and learn from a diverse and talented team
  • An inclusive, collaborative approach that helps maintain our values and contributes to making Seven Bridges a great place to work
  • Knows the basics of CSS/Javascript, Bonus points for knowledge of frameworks and libraries such as Angular or React
  • Understands Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD
  • Knows their way around Jira/Confluence
