The Public Programs Team at Seven Bridges brings together diverse team members who possess a unique balance of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills. We are looking for individuals who demonstrate the ability to think strategically about research and business questions, understand the scientific problems that researchers need to solve, and develop strategies for maximizing the success of a solution.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will lead the Infectious Diseases Therapy Area, shaping the strategy, goals, and project execution for multiple non- profit and government-funded programs. You will ensure the success of consortium-based programs and build strategic relationships with clients and collaborators. You will manage individual contributors who oversee the day to day execution of program activities, and ensure seamless collaboration with the Seven Bridges Technology Division.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the Public Programs therapeutic area on infectious diseases by overseeing the execution of multiple NIH programs. Collaborate with Seven Bridges project PI to define vision and priorities; guide decisions, and eliminate roadblocks.
  • Manage team of Program Managers, Community Engagement Managers, and Science Communicators who contribute to individual infectious disease programs.
  • Own program revenue generation and ensure fulfillment of all contractual obligations by engaging with the Technology division of Seven Bridges.
  • Lead contract renewals for existing Programs; identify new opportunities for strategic growth; lead responses for new RPF or RFIs. Work closely with the Technology Division to create a program budget that enables fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Ensure the success of consortium-based initiatives by building and maintaining strategic relationships.
  • Facilitate the creation, prioritization, planning, and execution of a product roadmap through close collaboration with senior management, the other ProMs, and product teams and adjust these requirements as needed according to changes in company priorities.
  • You will research, understand, and prioritize the needs of users within your program(s) -- and then teach them how to get the most from the features and products that you help build.

Do you have what it takes?

  • PhD or MS in genomics, bioinformatics, molecular biology, engineering, or related discipline
  • Knowledge in genomics, epidemiology, clinical trials, and/or biomedical data analysis
  • 2-5 years program management experience in a relevant organization or multidisciplinary environment.
  • 2-5 years experience managing direct reports
  • 2-5 years experience managing program budgets
  • Excellent communications skills applicable to a wide audience that includes users, researchers, funding agencies, and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations tailored to a range of audiences including project funders, researchers, internal stakeholders, and development teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities. Are able to command the room and be a good, empathetic listener.
  • Availability to travel up to 10% of the time.
