We are looking for a UX Designer to help us deliver the best-in-class experience for our researchers, bioinformaticians, bench scientists and other users of our Seven Bridges Platform.

You are an enthusiastic advocate for the users eager to collect and analyze user research data to drive creating and iterating on designs.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Program Managers, Engineers, and other Designers to define new features or improve existing ones through methodologies and approaches associated with user experience design and generative research. As the User Experience Designer, you will explore new concepts and stay involved throughout the implementation cycle and work as an user experience architect, providing wireframes, blueprints, flow diagrams, and research direction to the teams to ensure connected, coherent experiences.

The ideal candidate is passionate about user research, brainstorming, ideation, collaboration workshop facilitation, problem-solving, finding and dealing with edge cases. You are customer-focused, utilizing user insights to develop creative and pragmatic solutions.

What you'll be doing:

• Organizing and conducting user and stakeholder moderated and unmoderated research
• Collaborate with Principal Product Managers and Solution architects to evaluate user requirements and define product features..
• Supporting our Principal Customer Insights and Research Partner in building out the user research program
• Systematizing (aggregating and synthesizing) user feedback obtained from various sources into clear, actionable, data driven insights
• Present findings and recommendations that drive future design improvements through well-positioned and thoughtful documents and presentations
• Maintain and improve user personas & Jobs to be done for the organization
• Create experience maps, service blueprints, system diagrams, and concept sketches to facilitate understanding and to enhance team planning and collaboration
• Design low and mid-fidelity prototypes that provide solutions for end-to-end user flows and information architecture
• Plan and lead usability tests, support other designers in generating and leading usability studies.
• Practice the user-centric design process within an agile, lean environment

Do you have what it takes?

• Excellent communication skills and a well-articulated design process.
• Experience with:
• Preparing and facilitating cross-functional stakeholder workshops to collect different perspectives to drive divergence, convergence, then alignment.
• Generating customer journey maps and service Blueprints
• Identifying the right user research method for the intended outcome including:
• Recruiting participants
• Building and analyzing surveys
• Moderated and unmoderated research
• Card sorts and Tree Tests
• Usability testing, and training others in best practices associated with usability testing.
• A/B testing.
• Quantitative and Qualitative analysis of metrics, aggregation and synthesis
• In-app metrics gathering and analysis

Requirements

• A portfolio with use cases demonstrating UX Design work including skills in ideation, user research, wireframing, prototyping.
• Experience in conducting user research and interviews to discover user needs and use cases
• Experience in building and shipping web applications.
• Experience in designing alongside engineers and product managers
• Ability to appreciate constructive critique as much as positive feedback
• Comfortable to with making improvements through an iterative process while being willing to make tradeoffs
• Strong self-management skills with the ability to work constructively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Responsible, Organized, and Accountable, capable of managing multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
• Desire to learn and grow
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English language
