As the VP of Strategy and Scientific Excellence you will play a critical role in setting the long term vision and direction of Seven Bridges products and ensuring that scientific rigor is deeply woven throughout all of our offerings.


You will build and oversee the Strategy Management team which is

responsible for:

  • Defining overall market objectives, long term strategy roadmap, and business value (P&L/ROI)
  • Defining, refining, and gaining executive buy-in for product vision (1-5+ yr) and product principles
  • Validating need in marketplace and establishing outcome-focused value propositions
  • Defining positioning, GTM, launch, pricing strategy, compliance/legal agreements, sales enablement, implementation and support approaches
  • Identifying / engaging partners (including potential M&A opportunities) throughout the product lifecycle to facilitate overarching objectives
  • Capturing the pulse of the market and predicting opportunities of inflection
  • Developing detailed market landscapes, competitive analysis and differentiation strategies
  • Supporting the capture, analysis, and synthesis of market performance and customer experience to enable data based decision making
  • Collaborating deeply with the product, marketing, and scientific engagement teams to successfully launch and drive adoption of high impact solutions to challenging problems

Additionally, you will build and oversee a Scientific Center of Excellence

which is responsible for:

  • Providing expert, subject matter specific insights to inform product development and strategy
  • Developing compelling, rigorous and scientifically motivated demonstrations of Seven Bridges products and technologies in partnership with scientists both within and outside of Seven Bridges
  • Serving as evangelists (via both written and verbal communication) for Seven Bridges, including building relationships with thought leaders in the Scientific community
  • Partnering with the scientific engagement team, sales, technology and other members of the organization to envision solutions for complex client needs
  • Serving as champions of Seven Bridges in community standards organizations and consortia
  • Evaluating new technologies and use cases to expand the art of the possible

As you build these two functions you will act as a player/coach and deeply

partner with the Chief Science Officer and other Seven Bridges leaders to accelerate ongoing activities. You will execute with autonomy while facilitating alignment and collaboration across multiple functions. You will additionally champion the Customer Advisory Committee, serve as a thought leader and representative for Seven Bridges in the community, and exhibit unrelenting passion to accelerate the realization of precision medicine.

  • Advanced degree (PhD/ MD / MBA) and/or 10+ years experience in relevant scientific field
  • Demonstrated experience recruiting, training, retaining and maximizing the productivity of high functioning technical teams during times of organizational growth
  • 8+ years proven experience ideating, iterating and executing significant corporate strategies leading to accelerated revenue growth and innovation
  • Success leading cradle-to-grave product initiatives
  • Experience developing partnerships, channels and evaluating M&A opportunities
  • Demonstrated ability to craft scientifically accurate and compelling written and verbal communications
  • Experience creating successful outcomes via cross-functional, geographically distributed teams
  • Ability to ask questions, constantly learn, adapt, and evolve
  • Ability to manage uncertainty, demonstrate good judgment and incorporate data into decisions whenever appropriate and feasible
