Senior Product Marketing Manager, Cloud Management & Security at SkyKick | Powderkeg

Location: Seattle, WA

Employment Type: Full Time

Team: Marketing

At SkyKick, you’ll quickly discover the intersection where passion meets impact. Whether you’re located in our Seattle headquarters or in one of our four global offices, every individual is valued and part of the SkyKick team.

The talented and diverse individuals we hire are the magic behind our extraordinary culture. We inspire each other to create and innovate every day.

Over the next decade, analysts predict nearly a BILLION users in Small and Mid-sized businesses will embrace digital transformation. Service providers will spend nearly 600 million hours of labor in processes that are inefficient, non-secure, and technically complex. Technical talent is in short supply and margins are under constant pressure, so throwing bodies at the problem is not a sustainable solution. The ITSP technology market is ripe for disruption!

Launched in 2020, SkyKick Cloud Manager created a new category of low-code and no-code automation that is changing the state of play for the 100,000 strong Cloud IT service provider community. ITSPs use automation to reduce support costs, strengthen security and improve customer satisfaction in their SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS Cloud Operations. Mainstream MSPs are now stepping up to confidently offer lucrative and specialized services like Cybersecurity, Microsoft Teams, and multi-SaaS cloud administration. ITSPs have loved the simplicity and elegance of the solution, and the product has enjoyed exceptional growth to date.

Looking ahead, there is immense potential but also meaty challenges that need creative marketing strategy and relentless execution. In seeking to automate the $500B SMB IT services market, the addressable potential and opportunity is significant. In fact, Microsoft claims that only about 90K of the roughly 500K IT Service Providers worldwide have moved to the cloud, so we are in an early innings of an organic growth opportunity.

If you are a SaaS marketing Rockstar, this is an opportunity to bring your business acumen and marketing muscle to a true 4Ps marketing role to write the next chapter in Cloud Automation. This role reports to the global head of Product & Partner Marketing and is part of a team that is at the bleeding edge of SaaS marketing excellence and experimentation.

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you’ll bring your enthusiasm and curiosity for understanding the needs of our audiences and translate insights into execution that span across messaging, content, marketing programs, and more. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and problem solver who is able to dive deep into data and move fast on go-to-market priorities to deliver measurable outcomes within an entrepreneurial environment.

The Impact You’ll Make:

  • Represent the voice of our partners. Use market research to clarify business strategy and sharpen execution across product, marketing, sales, and operations. Implement both qualitative and quantitative approaches to uncover insights across the sales and adoption lifecycle.
  • Build strong product understanding and collaborate with product and executive leadership to distill product differentiation and complex market dynamics into sharp positioning and succinct, evocative messaging that resonates with a technical audience and variety of personas.
  • Plan and produce powerful sales and marketing content that promotes product awareness and accelerates purchase. Examples include thought leadership and demand generation assets like webinars, immersive product experiences, compelling sales aids, total economic impact studies, and more.
  • Step into the shoes of the user to create assets and programs that promote effective post-sale adoption and usage. Examples might include adoption journeys, change management guidance, technical webinars, and how-to content in print and multimedia forms.
  • Partner with demand generation and campaigns teams to develop and execute compelling to- and through-partner marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Develop acute sales empathy and support the sales organization with content, assets, and readiness programs that multiply sales productivity and outcomes.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketing, Product Management or Business Strategy roles.
  • 3+ years in a B2B Product Marketing or Developer Marketing Capacity, preferably in a technical product area, such as cloud management, security, software for IT professionals, application performance management and monitoring, etc.
  • MBA is generally expected, but not a barrier for exceptional candidates.
  • Strong content creation skills and proven GTM program management discipline is key.
  • Experience with Cybersecurity and/or technical audiences is highly desirable (system admins, cloud administrators, developers, engineers, etc.).
  • Familiarity and understanding of channel GTMs, especially managed service providers (MSPs) and ITSPs, is a plus.
  • Demonstrated record of thinking strategically and backing it with a bias for execution.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Highly analytical and comfortable working with data. You live by the dictum – what gets measured, gets done.
