We’re seeking an experienced researcher who is driven by empathy to deeply understand the motivations and needs of our users. You will be responsible for designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative studies to drive decision-making throughout the organization. You’ll be working with cross- functional teams to advocate your findings through presentations and recurring communications. You’re excited to collaborate with other passionate team members to develop insights that will improve our customers' experience. As our first in-house researcher, we’re looking for you to build a foundational research practice in a dynamic product development environment.

The Impact You'll Make:

• Conduct user research on multiple products and experiences.
• Collect and analyze user behavior through a range of methods: interviews, surveys, usability tests, online experiments (A/B testing), ethnography, and field studies.
• Collaborate with Designers and Project Mangers to identify research opportunities.
• Form user personas with goals, needs, and expectations.
• Manage the participant recruiting program and participant database.
• Synthesize user behavior and feedback into actionable insights and key value opportunities.
• Incorporate business goals in context of your research and highlight impact of the user experience on business results.
• Support and educate product teams in research principles and methodologies
• Evolve our research practice via progressive tools and processes.
• Curate research findings and evangelize across the company to build user empathy.

What You'll Bring:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience designing and executing field research having a demonstrable impact on business outcomes.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your level of expertise with various research techniques, showing your ability to extract insights from your data to inform the direction of a product experience.
• Experience working with cloud products and/or highly technical web applications.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science or related field or equivalent practical experience.
