Indianapolis-based MyJibe announced today that it has been acquired by Provo, Utah-based software company, MoneyDesktop.

MyJibe

MyJibe is a web-based application that takes a proactive approach to personal finance. The software brought live support capability and bank-level-standards for security for consumers and advisors. MyJibe sold for an undisclosed amount and the product, as it is known today, will be folded into Money Desktop. There is more information on the MyJibe blog.

Co-founders Mike Langellier and Brandon Dewitt launched the business at a special Verge event in January. We dusted off this video gem from the Verge film vault. Take a look at their presentation from that January launch:

This is a huge win for the Indiana startup community and for Bloomington-based SproutBox, who helped build and launch MyJibe.

Both Mike and Brandon are excited about the MyJibe acquisition and what the sale means for the future of the team. Keep an eye out for a full interview coming out soon!
