Program Will Help PERQ Clients in the Home Furnishings Industry Achieve Digital Success
PERQ is launching a new digital sales training program for its home furnishings clients during this year’s Fall High Point Market. The training will help brick and mortar retailers learn how to turn web traffic into in-store appointments.
Traditionally, furniture retailers have used their websites to try to grab a piece of the e-commerce pie. However, that may not be the best strategy.
“Wayfair’s average ticket price is $250 and we know the normal brick and mortar PERQ client averages more than $1,500,” said PERQ Co-Founder Scott Hill. “Why? Because the consumer WANTS to experience the advantages of a local store and salespeople when they’re making a larger purchase.”
The training is produced in partnership with David Kain, Founder of Kain Training. Kain provides consultation and training to hundreds of automotive dealerships around the world and is annually recognized as one of the “Best Internet Sales Training Companies” in the United States. Hill and Kain consulted with furniture industry leaders and applied the same digital sales training so it’s unique to the home furnishings industry.
“Consumers in both auto and home furnishings shop online, then show up at the showroom and buy,” said Kain. “The automotive industry devised strategies to leverage that and connect sales people to the web. Now, PERQ is bringing that same thinking to home furnishings clients through a series of easy-to-use videos and training materials.”
