Former Monster and DirectEmployers VP Joins Powderkeg as CTO 

Digital tech community hires new CTO to support further development of culture-focused job search tool 

To support further development of its community-powered job matching platform, Powderkeg, a digital community for tech companies, investors, and professionals, welcomes Rick Wehrle as Chief Technology Officer.

Wehrle brings more than two decades of experience in software engineering, web analytics, and product development to the role. Early in his career, he built the first job board on the internet, which became Monster.com. He went on to become the VP of Product Development at DirectEmployers, one of the largest employment networks in the world, and later founded mobile recruiting startup WorkHere, before transitioning into his new role at Powderkeg.
