How do you diversify your recruiting talent pipeline?
We have created partnerships within the Tech Ecosystem with Minority lead non-profits that are actively recruiting diverse talent into tech. By challenging our hiring standards to look at the individual not just the experience on a resume it has allowed us to hire some of the most diverse talent yet! We have also challenged our employees to expand their networks which has resulted in over 16 referrals hired in 6 months!

How do you diversify your recruiting talent pipeline?
Recruiting is an internal and external exercise to strategically and intentionally invest resources to engage more people from diverse backgrounds. We looked at everything we were doing and decided we could do more. More engagement and support to professional associations, colleges, high schools, and non profits who have the same beliefs in the importance of DEI. And more effort to create awareness and commitment from our CLA Family to be a leader in creating an inclusive, transparent, collaborative, equitable, and diverse culture at all levels and in all communities. When we look back after a year, 3 years, 5 years from now, we want to feel a great satisfaction and joy that opportunities were created, and our people fully represent the clients and communities that we serve.

How do you diversify your recruiting talent pipeline?
A diverse team demonstrates you care about having the best talent over cultural comfort. We recruit and ask for referrals from many sources, but we also specifically work with Mentors of Color to ensure that we're building and connecting to networks that are beyond our immediate reach.

Creating an inclusive environment is critical for not only equity, but also for growth of an organization. If a company wants to be successful, there must be a diverse gathering around the conference table whose voices are all honored equally.

Programs that are built by engaging people are the most successful. Our DEI committee surveyed the company before organizing initiatives throughout the year on topics like race, gender, visible and invisible disabilities and conflict resolution. Our leadership team were some of the first to sign up for our first Implicit Bias workshop. At Resultant, we model the behavior we’d like to see in the world - professionally and personally.

What are you doing to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture?
At Cariloop we encourage everyone to see the world in Technicolor—the term we use to outline our DE&I initiatives, borrowed from the early 20th-century film practice of exposing red, green and blue images to their opposite colors in order to see the image in full color. Our Technicolor Philosophy along with Cariloop’s vision of creating the global standard for the way we care for and support each other solidify how deeply we care about fostering a culture that is safe and supportive for everyone. As a Public Benefit Corporation, value-centricity and seeing people as people are written into what we consider success as an organization. From orientation to growth and development to volunteer opportunities, we celebrate each person for who they are and what makes them unique, and embrace one another for what we each stand for, what we’re passionate about, and the core values we hold dear.
